Ken, what part of your role gets you jumping out of bed in the morning (or at least makes coffee taste better)?

The opportunity to work with a great team of people across a diverse range of ventures, from early project development, through exploration, operations, and ultimately site rehabilitation and closure.

What are you most proud of achieving in your career so far?

I’m most proud of being part of the growth and development of colleagues I’ve worked with throughout my career, and seeing them achieve their goals and successes.

How long have you been using ESdat?

I’ve been using ESdat since mid-2023, when I joined Stanmore.

Which ESdat feature do you consider your secret weapon for getting things done more efficiently and effectively?

I really like the ability to create customised Chem Profiles. I use these frequently to export data tables that align with the locations, analytes and water quality criteria specified in our site-specific environmental approvals. Combined with site-specific environmental standards and exceedance notifications, customised Chem Profiles help to quickly detect any potential compliance issues for further investigation.

Finally, what are your predictions for our industry in the next 5 years? What excites you most? What changes are you expecting?

I expect sustainability, decarbonisation and public reporting of ESG metrics will continue to be a focus in the coming years. I also expect environmental regulatory requirements will continue to increase in line with community expectations.

We appreciate Ken taking the time to share his insights, and we’re proud to support environmental professionals like him.
