Brisbane, 28–30 October 2025 — The Australasian Land & Groundwater Association’s (ALGA) biennial ecoforum conference comes to the Brisbane Convention Centre later this month, bringing together consultants, scientists, regulators, industry and suppliers for three days of technical talks, training and networking. Registration is open, and delegates can earn up to 19 CPD points.
Theme & focus
This year’s theme—“From Contamination to Restoration: Protect, Sustain, Thrive”—centres on practical pathways from investigation and risk assessment through to remediation and recovery, reflecting the sector’s increased emphasis on resilient, sustainable outcomes.
Program at a glance
ALGA has released a new interactive preliminary program, with parallel streams hosted across the Rainforest, Sunshine, Beach and Reef rooms at the venue. A printable version is coming soon.
Beyond the main agenda, ALGA is offering add-on workshops in Brisbane on Monday 27 October (e.g., ASC NEPM risk assessment; landfill gas mitigation; geochemical modelling) and a University of Queensland lab tour on Friday 31 October. These activities are available to ecoforum delegates and, in many cases, non-delegates. https://landandgroundwater.com/events/ecoforum-brisbane-2025/
Who should attend
ALGA supports professionals across the contaminated land and groundwater industry—including landowners, developers, regulators, consultants, laboratories and researchers—providing a forum for professional development and collaboration. Its mission is to advance the protection, restoration and responsible management of land and groundwater across Australasia.
Registration & pricing
Standard options include a Full Conference Bundle (three days, breaks and lunches, Welcome Drinks) and Day Tickets. Group and student pricing is available. Note that the Conference Dinner is not included in the Full Conference Bundle and must be selected as an add-on during registration. https://landandgroundwater.com/events/ecoforum-brisbane-2025/
