British Columbia has released updated WQGs for dissolved lead. These can be viewed in Table 20 of “British Columbia Approved Water Quality Guidelines:
Aquatic Life, Wildlife & Agriculture”. The Long-term Chronic WQG values for Freshwater Aquatic Life now depend on Hardness and DOC. The Short-term Acute WQG value appears to have been removed.
The new lead value is now available in the “BC WQG Fresh Water Aquatic Life—Long Term Chronic” standard in the ESdat Environmental Standards library. The full document will be reviewed in the coming days for any other changes.
